“You Don’t Need Another Stroke” Video Seminar Program
 The You Don’t Need Another Stroke Video Seminar Program provides stroke survivors and family members with information on how to help protect against a future stroke. It also provides information on the causes of most strokes, conditions that place stroke survivors at risk for a future stroke or even heart attack, and actions they can take to help reduce their risk. You Don’t Need Another Stroke program kits are shipped free of charge to stroke support groups, senior facilities, and hospitals upon request.

Each kit contains the elements necessary for a facilitator to conduct the program at their venue, without the need for an outside speaker, and includes:

  • 15-minute VHS videotape (video “acts as the speaker”)

  • Leader’s Guide to help the host conduct a seminar at their facility

  • Hand-out literature for 50 attendees

  • Reply cards for attendees to receive additional information by mail

  • Announcement Posters and a Sample Press Release to help promote the program locally

  • A simple Program Verification Form for the host to complete

“Don’t Let Osteoarthritis of the Knee Become a Pain”
Physician-led Seminar Program

The Don’t Let Osteoarthritis of the Knee Become a Pain seminar provides mature adults with information on ways to effectively manage osteoarthritis knee pain, the benefits of non-oral or pill-free treatments,  and the treatment options available for mature adults. The Don’t Let Osteoarthritis of the Knee Become a Pain program pairs your center with a doctor in your area. This type of program helps to get your seniors involved and encourages them to ask questions in live time of a licensed physician. The program generally lasts about 30 minutes followed by a question and answer session. A kit accompanies this program and includes:

 

  • Leader’s Guide to help the host conduct a seminar

  • Literature and handouts for 50 attendees

  • Announcement Posters and a Sample Press Release to help promote the program locally

  • A simple Program Verification Form for the host to complete

  • PowerPoint presentation for the doctor to follow

“Finding Relief for Pain After Shingles” Seminar Program for a Nurse Presenter

This program provides adults who may be suffering from post-shingles pain and their family members with information about shingles and shingles-related pain. Importantly, it also provides information on treatments that can help provide relief for post-shingles pain.  The Finding Relief for Pain After Shingles seminar is designed to be conducted by an RN or LNP identified by your facility.  TSN offers facilities a reimbursement honorarium for the presenters.  Presenter training materials are included with the kit and MUST be completed by the presenter prior to conducting the event.   Program kits are shipped free of charge upon request. Each kit contains all of the elements necessary to conduct the program including:

  • 15-minute VHS/ DVD video (video “acts as the speaker”)

  • Presenter’s Guide for Healthcare Professionals, training materials and Presenter Agreement

  • Announcement Posters and a Sample Press Release to help promote the program locally

  • 50 Brochure hand-outs for seminar attendees

  • Pens and note pads for attendees
