How does my facility become a member of The Senior
Network?
If
your senior facility qualifies for TSN Membership, we will send your
facility a Membership Agreement to be completed on behalf of your
facility. There are certain membership qualifications that
need to be met before your facility can become a TSN Member.
If your site does not qualify for TSN membership, your facility will
be notified, and added to our Affiliate Program. Sites that
become Affiliates of our organization are offered
some of our free
programming. Although our Wall Information Board is reserved for
Members only, Affiliates can occasionally take advantage of some of
our other free programs.
What are the Senior Facility Membership
Qualifications?
Becoming a member of The Senior Network is easy. There's no
cost, and no risk. However, senior facilities must meet the
following qualification criteria:

limited to:
•

Why does my facility have to qualify to become a TSN
Member?
TSN
realizes that there are thousands of senior facilities nationwide
that would like to become members of our organization.
However, because everything TSN provides is free of charge, we must
restrict the number of facilities that can join our membership
network and limit the number of free memberships provided. TSN
does, however, offer an Affiliate membership, which senior
facilities that do not qualify for membership can join in order to
have the opportunity to receive some programs on a more limited
basis.
How can TSN provide all of the information free of charge?
There is no cost to join, be a part of, or obtain any of the
programs provided by The Senior Network. This is possible because
TSN programs are supported by corporate sponsors who are interested
in providing free information to mature adults. These sponsors
provide funding to TSN so that everything the senior facility
receives is completely free of charge.
How many members does TSN have nationwide?
TSN maintains an exclusive Membership network of 2,400 senior
facilities nationwide. We must limit the number of members we
accept since everything provided by TSN is free of charge. TSN
also works with thousands of additional sites on an Affiliate basis.
Who do I contact at TSN for additional information?
TSN is available to answer any questions, or discuss any issues you
may have. Please feel free to contact the Community
Outreach Department at your convenience at 1-800-275-2767
ext 5.
How do I order a free TSN program?
TSN provides free programs and services on a first-come first-served
basis to qualifying senior facilities when the program or service
becomes available. Programs are generally offered first to our
Members, and on occasion, to our Affiliates. Programs are
produced in strict quantities, and once they are used up, they are
no longer available. TSN does not maintain a “library” of
programs. You are welcome to order any of our current programs if
your facility meets the program qualifications. If your site
is accepted for Membership, TSN can then offer you future programs
and services as they become available.
What is the TSN Wall Information Board?
The mainstay of our FREE Membership Program is our custom-designed
wall magazine and bulletin board program. Our editorial
poster, "The Senior Network
Report " is a FREE source of information about many pertinent,
senior-focused issues. Much more than just an attractive way
to decorate a wall, it's a great way to show how much you care about
the health and well-being of those you serve! To learn more, click

TSN’s Wall Information Board
How long does it take to become a TSN Member?
Once your facility completes an application for TSN Membership, it
is reviewed internally by TSN’s Community Outreach staff. Your
site will be contacted directly, generally by phone or email, within
two weeks to discuss your application. Qualified sites will be
mailed an Information Packet, which contains additional details
about TSN, as well as a Membership Agreement to be completed by your
facility. TSN will consider your facility a member as soon as
the completed Membership Agreement is received at TSN offices,
provided the senior facility qualifies for Membership. TSN
will ship the Wall Information Board within three months of
receiving a completed Membership Agreement.
Why does our site have to sign an Agreement?
The Senior Network asks your facility to sign a Membership Agreement
since everything TSN provides is free of charge, and because we want
to make sure that our members agree to post the bi-monthly TSN
materials. Additionally, because TSN provides materials to members
free of charge, we simply ask that your site comply with a few minor
posting requests, and agree to hang the TSN Wall Information board
in your facility.
What are my
responsibilities as a TSN member?
It's so easy to be a TSN member! In fact, close to 85% of our
members have been with TSN for 10 years or more! As a TSN member,
your site will initially be asked to install our Wall Information
Board in your facility. Once the board is in place, your facility
will be asked to place our bi-monthly materials on the TSN Wall
Information Board, and subsequently provide TSN with a brief
Verification of Posting Affidavit which will be included in the
bi-monthly mailing box. Members are never required to participate in
a free program, but we make these available for your use and hope
that your facility can use them. That's it! Everything else TSN
provides is available at no risk, and no further obligation, and may
be ordered voluntarily on behalf of your site! You are welcome to
participate in as many or as few programs as you desire.
Our site has
no room for a board or doesn’t meet your requirements, but would
like to receive educational seminars and other programs.
Can we do so?
It depends! TSN provides certain items ONLY to TSN Members, such as
the Wall Information Board and
The Senior Network Report editorial poster.
Programs such as educational seminars are generally offered
either first or exclusively to our Members. However, on occasion,
and if quantities allow, TSN will offer qualifying non-member
(“Affiliate”) sites the opportunity to receive educational video
programs and professionally-led seminars.
